So I’ve very nearly finished my first year of Sixth Form, and I’ve done alot of work over the year, but as the 6 weeks holidays approach I looked back on what points I should of been working when in fact I was distracted by various things on my computer or elsewhere, kind of inspired me to create a post on how you could be destroying your work productivity. So take a step back, sit down in that nice comfy chair over there and let Dr James tell you common methods that we are all doing to bring down our work productivity, possibly without even knowing it at all.

Are we seeing the end of Internet Explorer 6?

Recently YouTube has announced it will be phasing out support for the Internet Explorer 6 Browser, about time! For anyone who is still on this out dated browser (And HAS the choice of upgrading) you really need councilling. I don’t get why some people constantly ignore there Windows Update screen which by now will probably be screaming at them to update. However it looks like the major websites of today are phasing out Internet Explorer 6 support.

Compaq Presario CQ60-307 Laptop Review

A week ago I posted about my brand new laptop which I had recently got, now that I’ve had a couple of weeks to play around with it and test it out I thought I’d make detailed review of the product. This review is for the Presario CQ60-307, I am aware that there are different revisions of the laptop with slightly different specifications, but generally they are all similar to each other. First impressions of the laptop are really good. It is styled well and though it is larger than many laptops out there the weight is quite reasonable too. Read more for the full review.

Creating a Tabbed Navigation menu

Here’s another navigation tutorial but this time im being a bit different, since my last navigation tut Creating A Drop Down menu I wanted to be a bit different and step away from the boring one level navigation bars. Well in this tutorial you will learn how to create a tabbed navigation menu, complete with a under tab description feature, which when you hover on a certain tab a description will appear below the navigation bar, I’ve seen a few of these around, but most of them use javascript when really you don’t need it if your looking for something simple. Im going to teach you how to create this using HTML lists and CSS styling no javascript involved.

Protecting your website from spam and misuse

If your a owner of website that is generally popular and your website features functions like commenting, then you are bound to get random spam comments that appear everywhere, other functions that are often targeted include contact forms, random bot users that register to your website (If it has some form of member system) and more functions that spammers generally attack. Spam bots love attacking the above features but this article will help you fight off the spam!
